My camera got a makeover

Party at my momma’s house…

We had our family Christmas party at my Mom’s house on Christmas eve eve. This is something we do every year and it’s always a fun time. Lots of food and family. The kids exchange christmas presents, my brother sings and we always read about Jesus Christ and his birth! This year since I have a snazzy camera, my mom wanted me to get family pictures of each individual family…so I happily obliged!

My sister Aubrey, Husband Ashley, and her four girls Gabbie, Morgan, & twins Grace & Madelyn. Raise your hands if you think she has her hands full!!!

My handsome brother Jimmy, wife Kristie and Precious son Adam!  They also have a baby girl on the way!

My sister Heather, Husband David and Isaac, Julianne & adorable little Sadie!

My sweet family of course minus Preston…who knows where he was at the time!

Now this next picture just goes to show you what you can expect when trying to get 11 kids to look at the camera! Mom really wanted to get a picture of her and Charles with their Grandkids. I think Charles’ face says it all! Bless him!

Preston just loves babies…even though he’s one himself!

After all the family pics were done, I was exhausted so I put my camera away for the rest of the evening. It was nice to not take pictures and just sit back and enjoy family for awhile!

Just playing around again…

 

We took the kids to Riverfront park yesterday for another mini photoshoot to play around with me camera. I know i’m not a professional photographer…not even close but I really love the pics that I got! You may notice that the majority of the pictures are of just Ariel and Nicholas. That’s because every time I went to snap one of Preston, he ran away! Guess he wasn’t in the mood!

ok…so sorry if you’ve had enough! I just couldn’t pick a few that I liked b/c I loved them all! 

 

Funny story though..we almost gave up on the photo shoot!  I tend to be a little OCD about the kids clothing when taking pictures and I specifically told Ariel to wear her little UGG boots but when I got to the park, I noticed she had on her tennis shoes. So I said the heck with it! Oh well!  Then Preston was napping on me while we were taking a break and apparently his diaper decided to leak all over me! Good thing I ALWAYS bring a change of clothes for him!  You never know when that will happen!  I was beginning to feel like we should try another day b/c Preston wasn’t cooperating either BUT we stuck it out and i’m really pleased with what I got! I just love pictures of my kids and could NEVER have enough!

MIA Lately…

It’s been awhile since I blogged…mainly because I just haven’t had anything to blog about. Not to mention that i’ve been so busy working two jobs and Christmas shopping!  I’m sure after the Holidays pass, i’ll have more to talk about! Maybe…

Timmy and I did take Preston to the Park this weekend to try and play around with my camera and see if I could get any decent pics of him!  Seems we forgot that he hadn’t had his afternoon nap so he really wasn’t up for much of anything!!!

He was NOT happy in this swing…seriously HATED it!

um yeah…he wasn’t happy on the slide either!

SO…we let him do his own thing…and he seemed to enjoy just walking around.

I died when I saw this picture…I must have snapped it when he was in the middle of trying to run away from me but he looks soooo pompous in this picture! Like he knows he’s cute or something!   There’s just something about these types of pictures that make me melt!  This one was cute because Preston reached for Timmy’s hand when they were walking down a hill so he wouldn’t fall. Aww…

And my favorite picture of the day AND the only one of him smiling! 

The main focus here is Preston’s eye color…I think he’s channeling one of the Cullen boys here…can we say Vampire eyes????

A close up look at his eyes…on a daily basis they look green BUT there are those times where the sun shines in his face and they literally take my breath away! And here I was wanting him to have blue eyes. These are beautiful!

By the way…did anyone notice he got a little haircut? Timmy shaved his head about 2 weeks ago and he totally looks like a Buddhist Monk now!  Just sayin…
