Too funny not to watch!

This is definately funnier the 1st time around but either way you should laugh out loud!  I know I did!!!

Meet Eddie….

He’s the BIGGEST kid I know! And…the back of him opens up into a huge play area where kids can learn ALL ABOUT the human body! They can crawl from his brain all the way down to his butt!  No lie!

We took the kids to Edventures Museum this saturday and had a blast! We took tons of pictures but some of them didn’t turn out so great! I guess we need a better camera!  Any donations????  :)

We spent 3 hours there and it wasn’t boring at all!  There was so much for them to see and do!  One minute they were driving firetrucks….

  And the next they were riding camels….

The highlight of this trip of course was when they were able to go grocery shopping all by themselves!  Well Preston needed some help of course!

This was one of the activities where Preston was actually able to participate! He was ALL OVER the place!

 

All in all, it’s safe to say that our money spent was well worth it!!!  We’ll definately take them back again!!!

Wordless Wednesday

One more month!!!

 

Preston, my sweet boy,  I can’t even believe that I have one more month until your 1st birthday!  I ask myself everyday where has the time gone? You used to be so small and now I swear you are almost as big as me…well not quite but still! I’m still amazed by you everyday!  This past month, you have started waving "bye-bye” and you have starting saying “uh-oh!” You really only say it when I say it but it goes something like this….Me: “Uh-oh!” ….You “ooooohhhhhhhhh!”  You always seem to have me with the cheesiest grin on my face when you do that!

 

I like to call you Curious George b/c you are into EVERYTHING!!!! I thought when you started crawling that you had me on my toes but that doesn’t even compare to how you have me chasing after your every single move!!! You run everywhere you go now and fall about as much as you run!  You get so excited sometimes that you can’t get control of your own little body! It really is rather funny to watch! However, it’s not funny when you fall so hard that you hurt yourself which is often!  You have bumps and bruises everywhere it seems but i’ve heard that’s just how little boys are!!!  Even so, you never fail to almost give me a heart attack!!!

 

At night when Daddy is in school, it’s you and me time and you love it when I chase you around the house and wrestle with you!  Shoot I love it too!!! Thinking of our play times is what gets me through my long work days!!!  Knowing that I get to come home to your smiling face just makes my day!!!

You have also had some experiences playing with other little boys your age and well…we definately need to work on your sharing skills! It’s just not acceptable to go snatch a toy out of another little boys hands while he is playing with it!  Even if you are bigger! We have time to work on that though!  :)

You wake up EVERY MORNING with the biggest smile on your face and it is quite possibly my favorite time of day now b/c of that! I love seeing you come into your  own personality more and more each month! You aren’t a momma’s boy or a daddy’s boy!  You love us both and as long as you have one of us, you are good! You went through a phase where you didn’t want to be held but now you are starting to want to cuddle again which to be honest is ok with me!!! I never ever get sick of cuddling and holding you b/c I know it won’t last forever!  You really have shown to me this past month just how sweet and loving you are! You smile more than you cry and laugh more than you smile! I simply love you to pieces!

Sneak Peek

We had the kids pictures taken this sunday by my good bloggin friend Alicia!  I met her through my boss actually. They are friends and she showed me her blog one day and after commenting back and forth we instantly became friends!  I asked her if she would take Preston’s pictures for his 1st birthday invitation and we decided to make it a family affair! There are so many more pictures to come but these are just some that she has edited so far and I couldn’t be happier!!!  I am so anxious to see the rest!!!

This poem holds special meaning to me since I am a fireman’s daughter! Growing up, I was always proud of my Dad for what he did! I am also very proud of the men and women that pulled together on this day 8 years ago and put their lives on the line for the victims of 9/11 and for continuing to serve and protect us now!!! I continually pray for the victims and their families and hope one day they will find peace!

An afternoon at the park

I took a half day today so that I could go do makeup for a bridal portrait and I was done by 2:30. Timmy went and picked the kids up from school and since today was sooooo beautiful, I decided it would be the perfect day to take them to the park. I had a heck of a time getting good shots of the kids because they couldn’t stay still long enough and Preston was just so fascinated with his surroundings that he pretty much ignored me all together! Oh well right! 

I think Ariel enjoyed going down the slide with him more than he did! 

 

He really loved crawling in this little tunnel. 

The best I could get of the boys but I think it’s sooo precious of them!!! They both look like they are having a blast!!!

 

Yes I sure did let him play in the dirt!  AND HE LOVED IT!!!! 

 

I can’t wait for fall to get here so we can have many more days like today!!!!
