Take me out to the ball game!

Tonight we took the kids to my little brother Andrew's baseball game at Spring Valley High School. It was Senior night and we wanted to show our love and support! I still can't believe my little boog is graduating this year! Wow am I getting old! He had lots of family members come out, My dad (of course!), Step-mom, Sister Ashley, Grandpa Burrell, Grandma Pat, Uncle Donnie, Uncle Woody and Aunt Hallie! It was great to see them and they loved seeing Preston, some for the 1st time even!

Ariel and Nicholas have never been to a baseball game and they both had completely different thoughts on it...Ariel hated it...thought it was boring b/c all they did was hit the ball, someone would catch it and get out and no one would score! She was funny...said she didn't see the point! What a girl!!!

Nicholas didn't really understand the rules and kept cheering for whoever hit the ball! We had to explain several times that you can't cheer for the opponent!!! He just laughed it off everytime!

Preston hated it when the crowd would start cheering! It scared him everytime and he would start screaming! Poor child! We are gonna have to work on that!

Here are a few pics that I took...I tried to get some pictures of the game but that fence kept blocking a decent picture! Oh well!

Nick is such a friendly kid, he will talk to anyone! Here he is with his "new" lady friend! He talked her ear off! And she didn't seem to mind! :) Nick with Aunt Ashley! He just loves her!

Spring pictures

We had the kids "spring" pictures taken this weekend and included Preston's 6 month pics! We took them back to Portrait Innovations out at Sandhills...that's where Preston had his 3 month pictures taken. They are a heck of a lot cheaper than Picture People and just as good! We got sooo many great pictures of the kids that it was so hard to choose just one. I've put up just a few of my favorites.

Prestons 6 month checkup

Timmy took Preston to his 6 month checkup..I had to work which makes me sad but i'm glad I didn't get to see him cry from his shots! That always upsets me! Now last week he was weighed at his sick appointment and w/o clothes, he was weighing in at 19 lbs. But today he weighed in at 18.5 lbs. So I'm guessing he dropped some weight from being sick. The nurse didn't write down his percentages which annoyed me alittle b/c I like to keep track of where he's at but oh well. The Dr did say that he is growing right along with his age group and is sooo healthy which makes me happy!!! So here are his official measurements (according to Timmy):

Weight: 18.5 lbs

Length: 27 1/4 inches

Head: 17 inches

Looks like little man is starting to slow down some!

Hey! Wheres the water????

Timmy emailed me these two pictures this morning of Preston "trying" to be a big boy! He loves drinking out of our big cups...it never fails..when I am drinking something, he is reaching for it! So Timmy gave him one of Ariel's cups (hence the pink) and he was thrilled! You can see a smile as he tries to drink from it...problem is......

Timmy didn't put any water in it b/c he didn't want him spilling it...so here he is trying to get just alittle bit of something!!!! Poor child just doesn't understand why he is having to tilt his little head all the way back for alittle drink!!!!! And I just noticed that Preston is always shirtless in most of his pictures...this time it was b/c Timmy was feeding him and I told him if I found one more article of clothing with a food stain on it, I was going to FLIP!!! So I guess this was the next best thing!!!!

Happy 6 months Preston!!!

I can't believe that my little man is 6 months today! Time is going by so fast...makes me sad alittle...I don't want to miss a thing!!! He is so precious and does something new everyday!! He warms my heart when I come home everyday and he smiles so big and puts his arms out for me! Definately doesn't make me feel so bad that I am working. I can't wait to spend many more years with him!!!!

Father and Son

Timmy was holding Preston the other day getting him ready for his bath and I saw a beautiful opportunity to snap a picture. The love in their faces moved me to tears!!!! Timmy is such a wonderful father and loves his children so much!

My poor baby!

Preston has been sick the past week with a nasty cold and tuesday I started to notice a nasty cough! So much that I took him to the Dr the next day. After having a chest x-ray, luckily there were no signs of Pneumonia. The dr says it's most likely from his cold and that it's Bronchial Asthma. He had to get a breathing treatment yesterday at the Dr's office and they also gave us a Nebulizer to take home to continue the treatments. This picture of him was taken at the Dr's office. He fought me at 1st and then finally gave up and sat there being so good. Last night was just awful though...He doesn't want to eat or play or anything...just wants to be held and sleep. It breaks my heart seeing him like this but I know he will get better soon! I love my little man SO MUCH!!!! Him being sick has really made me wish I could just take the pain away!!!

Happy Birthday, Happy Easter, and all that jazz!

We had a busy busy weekend! We started it off by having Nick's birthday party at three fountains skating rink. We had family in town from florida so it was nice that they were able to make it along with other family and friends! Nicholas racked up on cash so that he could buy some Wii games....He ended up getting 3! I am still questioning if it was a good idea to buy that thing!

Aunt Sue likes to get the kids their cakes every year so she had this one made to fit the roller skating theme!

Next, we headed to Rock hill on Easter to celebrate baby David's 1st birthday!

Here is the birthday boy enjoying all the attention! I LOVE getting together with Timmy's family..They know how to cook and I always end up craving their food for weeks afterwards!!!!

Happy Birthday Nicholas!!!!

Today our sweet Nicholas turns the big 8!!!! Even though I have only been around just 3 years, it's amazing to me just how much he has grown in that amount of time! Nicholas is one of the sweetest and funniest kids I know and would do anything for anyone! I love him so much and have enjoyed the time I have had with him watching him grow up!

He LOVES being a BIG brother and can't wait to teach Preston things! Preston is SO lucky to have him to watch over him and protect him! He loves posing for the camera! He has such Charisma! I love it!

Ariels new "do"

Aunt Aubrey cut Ariel's hair this weekend and it's just adorable! She's a beautiful child anyways but this really suits her face! We are definately going to have to beat the boys off of her! I think i'll be tougher than Timmy though...I have a tendency to scare people with my intense facial expressions! :)

Cool points, 1st times and Supermom.....

I start off by saying...yes we broke down and bought a mini-van...a 2004 Honda odyssey and we got a heck of a deal! But now I think I have lost ALL my cool points! I always swore I would never drive a "MOM" mobile!!! Thing is, I love it!!! It's so roomy!

1st times...Preston is a monster for his age..5 1/2 months and weighs atleast 19-20 lbs. So after deciding that I could no longer carry his car seat b/c it was killing me, we have upgraded him to his big boy carseat! I can't wait until he turns one so I can turn him forward facing! That little mirror in the back just doesn't cut it for me!

Does he like it????

I think so! His 1st time sitting in a high chair at a restaurant! He looks thrilled I tell ya! His 1st time riding in a buggie! YES...I call it a buggie! And I think he liked his new big boy carseat b/c he passed out on the way home!

SO...HERE is where Super-Mom comes in....Today while trying to put on my makeup Preston got really fussy and wanted me to hold him. Timmy wasn't here and I couldn't handle the screaming so I picked him up and finished putting my makeup on with one hand...MASCARA included....and it still looked GOOD!!!! Gooo me! Maybe this isn't a big deal to some but I was pretty impressed!
