A whole lot of this…

1697-1

Poor Timmy…Ariel and Nicholas love it when he throws them around but he’s getting old and they are getting big! I love Nick’s face in this pic! Such a funny kid!

We bought Preston a kiddy pool for the back deck but he wants nothing to do with it!  He’s all about the big one!  It looks like we are going to have to teach him how to swim real fast!

Timmy seems to have started with him this past week….

And he’s loving it as you can see!

1782-1

Don’t you just love Ariel in the background! Pure relaxation!!! Oh to be a kid!

When the kids are playing outside with all the other kids and Preston can’t play with them, we usually find him like this…

1818-1

Breaks my heart really. He wants to be a big boy so bad!!!

Daddy always comes to the rescue!!!

Did anyone notice that Preston got a new haircut????

1835-1

My awesome sister Aubrey did such a good job considering that Preston was foaming at the mouth the entire time!  I brought Timmy for back up because I knew how he would act!  We are very lucky he doesn’t have a big bald spot somewhere in the back of his head!

Speaking of Preston which I know I do a lot of…sorry…I love my boy!  :)

He is 19 months old!  Wow…this past month, he has starting talking A LOT more! Some of which I can make out and then some that I know it means something, I’m just not sure what just yet!

He has also decided that he wants to feed himself with no help! This is a good thing but also drives me crazy because he’s so messy and doesn’t have it down just yet so this leads to food everywhere most times! I guess he has to learn sometime right? And I need to work on my patience….

The other night while eating Pho, he decided he wanted my soup and dug right in…

1795-1 1800-1

I love that he’s so independent but he seriously thinks he’s 10! I need him to need me just a little bit longer!

Well, that’s it for now! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Monkey Joe’s revisited

I know it’s been awhile but to be honest, I really just haven’t wanted to post. I work all day on a computer and so when I come home, the last thing I want to do is hang out on the computer again. I even had to make myself post tonight. Sad, I know!

Not too much has been going on lately. My sister and I took Preston to Monkey Joes a few weeks ago by himself to see if he would like it now that he can actually play. The results…

He lasted in this bouncy house for a matter of 2 seconds. Got in, I snapped the 1st picture and then he wanted out.

He liked this area MUCH better…A whole 15 minutes better anyways…

He got a kick out of beating up this little dog. I think he hit on him for a good 5 minutes. Whatever makes you happy right?!

DSC_1438

Here he is saying… “ I didn’t do it!”  in response to why he was beating up on the dog for so long!

What’s he looking at you ask? A Balloon!  He managed to spot a balloon at the very top of this place!  The ceilings in here are super high and yet he managed to see a dang balloon!  After this, we couldn’t get him to play anymore! He just kept pointing to it and saying…”Boon, boon!”  What do you want me to do…Oh fly up there…sure just a sec while I turn into super mom! I’m good but not that good!  :) Needless to say we left after this or else I would never hear the end of it.

Verdict on Monkey Joes…never taking him back! It was a waste of our time! I already knew it was a waste of Ariel and Nick’s time but now I know Preston doesn’t really care for it either.

Happy Mother’s Day

  me and mom

"You have nothing in this world more precious than your children. When you grow old, when your hair turns white and your body grows weary, when you are prone to sit in a rocker and meditate on the things of your life, nothing will be so important as the question of how your children have turned out. It will not be the money you have made. It will not be the cars you have owned. It will not be the large house in which you live. The searing question that will cross your mind again and again will be, How well have my children done?
If the answer is that they have done very well, then your happiness will be complete."

--President Gordon B. Hinckley

015-2

Motherhood is the greatest potential influence for either good or ill in human life.  The mother's image is the first that stamps itself on the unwritten page of the young child's mind.  It is her caress that first awakens a sense of security; her kiss, the first realization of affection; her sympathy and tenderness, the first assurance that there is love in the world.”

~David O. McKay~

I can honestly say that becoming a Mother has blessed my life in ways I never though imaginable! I am not a perfect Mother, I am constantly learning, but I strive to be the best Mom that I can be and as long as they know that then that is all that matters!

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
