What a beautiful day!

Saturday was beautiful…heck this entire weekend was really!  We decided that while it was still a little chilly outside, it was still warm enough to let the kids go play at the park near our house!  I feel so bad with the kids being cooped up inside during the winter so whenever it warms up just a bit, we take advantage of the weather!

Ariel and Preston played together for awhile while Timmy and Nicholas threw some football.

Let me just tell you how good she is with him! Always right behind him making sure he doesn’t run into any trouble! And he loves her so much!  I say that a lot but it’s so true!

They played a bit and then Preston decided that he liked the look of the leaves right next to the playground, so he ran over and played there a bit too!

It wasn’t until after I edited these pics that Timmy brought it to my attention about a friend of mine who blogged recently about a snake and put a picture up with the snake hidden in the leaves. You couldn’t even see the thing until she pointed it out!  Talk about creeping me out!  Preston my boy, this is the last time you will play in the leaves until I have scoped it out myself first!  ugh!

Then Timmy and Nicholas decided to join them for some more play time!

Notice, Preston decided that he was big enough to slide down the big kid slide all by himself!  It was quite a drop at the end but he was a trooper and just ended up covered in sand. Nicholas and Timmy both decided they were monkeys…anyone notice something a little strange about the picture with Nicholas upside down?

All in all, we had a great time and look forward to many more outside play time!  Is anyone else ready for spring?  I know I am!

Daddy/Daughter dance 2010

Timmy and Ariel had their very first Daddy/Daughter dance this friday night at Ariel’s school. It was suppose to be February 12th but because of the snow, they rescheduled it. Ariel couldn’t have been more excited. She patiently waited for me to come home from work so I could help her find something to wear.

She waited to see what Timmy was going to wear and then decided that she wanted to match him. So she picked out something that had alittle blue in it!  How cute is she!

This child LOVES her Daddy!  And it’s obvious that he loves his little girl as well!

When they came home, she gave me a picture that they had taken of them and I put it in her new frame that we bought her for Valentine’s day. She put it on her dresser and it’s just precious!

Love….it’s a wonderful thing!  :)

16 months of unconditional love

Preston my boy, it’s hard to believe that you are 16 months old today! It’s been awhile since I've posted about you and how much you’ve grown so I hope I don’t leave anything out.

At your most recent well checkup this past week, you weighed in at 25 lbs 7 oz. And you are 32 inches tall. You have stayed in the 75 percentile for quite some time!  You haven’t gained much weight lately because you are always running and dancing!  Speaking of dancing…I posted a video on here of you last month of you feeling the beat and trust me when I say music should be your middle name!  You live your life by it now and nothing makes me happier! I only hope that you don’t grow up with your daddy’s ear for music!  Sssh…don’t tell him I said that though!

Of course you love everything cell phone!  The cutest thing though is when you grab one of ours and put to your ear and say… “Haydo?”

You are quite the comedian…always trying to sneak up on somebody. And you love to play peek-a-boo! I caught you doing this earlier today and it made me giggle. You sat there for awhile waiting for one of us to notice you!

You also like to try and “feed” us snacks only to jerk it away from our mouths and shove it into yours all the while laughing hysterically because you “tricked” us!  Your such a silly boy!

You adore you two older siblings so much!  I’ve noticed lately that you treat them very different. With Ariel, you love on her but also get mad at her when she tries to discipline you from doing something you’re not suppose to be doing. She helps take care of you and so you love her the way you love me and daddy!

Nicholas is your BIG BROTHER and you treat him as such!  You’re his little tail or shadow! And it doesn’t take much for you to irritate him!  You know how to get under his skin and It’s so funny to watch! I can already tell that you two are going to have a beautiful bond when you get older! 

  You talk all the time and there are times when I know exactly what you are saying and then other times where I have no clue!  I can’t wait for you to really start talking more!  You can say…Daddy, Mommy (but you very rarely say it!), Ariel which sounds like “Aeole,” Thank you, Hello, Bye, What’s that, Doggie but you mostly just say “woof woof!”, Attitude thanks to me always calling you out on the big one you have, uh-oh, Ta-da, No, ow, ball, I love you, and I know there are few others that i’m leaving out but that’s just a few of your favorites!  Everything else that you say is just gibberish right now!  It won’t be much longer though till you are saying all kinds of things!

You are ALL boy and constantly getting bumps and bruises but so fearless and brave!  You have started to climb up onto everything…Just the other day I turned my head for a second only to find you sitting on top of the kitchen table!  Yes you almost gave me a heart attack!

But back to being the little comedian that you are…

 

And whenever I say… “Preston, show me your tummy,” You gladly pull your shirt up and start pushing on your belly! Silly silly boy!

And then there was the day where I was sitting on the couch watching TV and you walked up to me with this little sticker on your head!  I still don’t know where you found it but you made us all laugh so hard!

 

And when it snowed and you didn’t want to go outside anymore, you entertained us by throwing on Daddy’s vest and Nicholas’ spider man sunglasses!  You proved to us that you also have a very cool side as well!

 

And of course you love your Daddy!  You’ve been giving kisses away for a few months but now you give them on demand where as it used to just be whenever you “felt” like it!  We take advantage of this situation but cherish it because we know it won’t last forever!

One thing that has not changed is my love for you, well actually is has but only in that it has intensified a million times over and continues to do so! Even though you have this high pitched squeal that makes the hairs on my arm stand up, I still adore you! Even though you test my patience 24/7, I still melt when I hold you!  I still look at you in amazement to know that you are my very own! My sweet sweet boy…always know and remember that I love you with my every breath!

Happy Birthday to Gracie and Maddie!

 

My twin nieces turned one yesterday and it was a joyous day! They were born premature (8 weeks early I believe.) Gracie was alittle over 3 lbs and Maddie was barely over 1lb.  The Dr even told my sister that Maddie probably would not live. So to see both of them enjoying their birthday yesterday and digging into their cakes just warmed by heart! 

My friend Candace made their Birthday banner. She also made Preston’s for his birthday!  She does such an amazing job!

I helped my sister come up with their theme which was cupcakes. Jessica, who also made Preston’s cake made their jumbo size cupcakes along with 4 dozen mini cupcakes! And they were soooo good! 

 

My mom found this lady on etsy that makes the cutest birthday tutus. We chose the pink and green ones and think they turned out just precious!!!

          

Their different personalities really showed when it was cake time!

Gracie was little “Miss Dainty” while Maddie dug right in!  And look at that thing next to her!  It’s bigger than her head!  ;)  That didn’t stop her though!

Gracie barely touched the thing and then decided she didn’t want it in front of her so she pushed it off the table. Luckily I have quick reflexes..even with a camera in hand so I caught it!  hehe!

Look at those baby blues!  I can’t get over how much they do NOT look alike!  And Maddie was ready to get that bib off of her!

Since Maddie ingested so much sugar, she was a little on the wild side when it came to opening her presents!

All in all, we had a great day with lots of great food, fun and family! Maddie and Gracie, Aunt Jamie loves ya’ll very much!

Happy Love Day…

From our house to yours!!!!

Gone way too fast…

The snow that is!  We live in South Carolina so when the weather calls for snow, I very rarely believe it because it hardly ever comes!  Well this past Friday they didn’t lie! Not only did it start snowing around 3:00 that afternoon, it didn’t stop until sometime in the early morning Saturday! We got a total of 6-7 inches which is a lot for here and the kids had a blast!!! Too bad the sun came out and it started to melt away by the next day!  :(

This was Preston’s 1st real snow and he didn’t know what to do really!  He stood in the same spot almost the whole time except for the time when he tried to move but fell because the snow was so deep.

Of course I took plenty of pictures though…there were a few where Timmy and Ariel were throwing snow in the air over his head to get some type of reaction out of him. He still had that confused look on his face though.

   

 

Ariel belongs in the snow for sure!  This child played and played!!!  She would come in for a bit to warm up and then go right back out! She was even telling me this morning how much she missed it already!

This was Friday when I came home from work…you can see the snow falling in the background.

 

And of course she made a snow angel!

I’m guessing someone slammed her pretty hard in the face with a snowball  :)

Where is Nicholas you ask?  Well he kept complaining about how cold it was! He didn’t have any gloves so he stayed outside for a full 5 minutes and then went back in.  Friday night I overheard him say to Ariel, “Isn’t this cool Ariel…I thought this day would NEVER come!”  I giggled of course.

I finally convinced him to put some socks on his hands because that’s what we did when I was a kid. He did so I was able to get some shots later that day of him and Ariel playing.

She got him pretty good…but it didn’t take long for him to retaliate!

 

The socks really worked for him because he played out there for awhile!

And when Nicholas wasn’t looking, I snapped a few close ups.

And right before I went inside, I caught him sneaking up on Ariel doing this…

All in all, I think the snow was a success!  I was just happy that it came on a Friday so that I could actually stay home and enjoy Preston playing in it on Saturday!

There was one time in the afternoon when Ariel went out by herself and was out for awhile. When Timmy and I peeked out the window to check on her, she was making a snow man and then taking a picture on her cell phone. A few minutes later I received a text message from her with this in it…
