A few things…

Let’s see…what have we been up to? Not much really…hence the reason why I haven’t blogged lately. But here are just a few..

1. Preston turned 17 months old…I skipped a long heartfelt post this time b/c not too much has changed other than the fact that he had his 1st black eye, busted lip and pretty rough sinus infection. He did get cuter though…if that’s even possible! I know i’m biased!

I found him like this the other day and couldn’t resist.

2. Some how Timmy and I got the “Pink eye!”  He caught it first so I know I got it from him but luckily none of the kids got it!  It could be due to the fact that I went home right after I found out and scrubbed the house and then put purell on every corner.  I was determined to keep it “under control!”

Sorry, I don’t have a yucky picture of me with it. I purposely avoided the camera last week. Although it was quite nice not wearing any makeup!

3. What’s that I hear…Bieber Bieber Bieber…someone in the house caught Bieber fever and it’s not me or the kids. *cough cough TIMMY cough cough*

Ok….so we were at Target and I saw Justin Bieber’s new cd in Timmy’s hand…I stopped dead in my tracks and asked him what he was doing. He still claims he bought it for the kids since he’s all the “rage” right now he just KNEW they would eventually catch the “FEVER.” mmmkay!

4. I’ve had a headache consistently since um the 1st day of spring! While I LOVE the weather, I despise the allergies! Runny nose, constant sneezing, itchy watery eyes and HEADACHES! Fun stuff!

5. I bought a chore chart for Ariel and Nicholas and surprisingly it has worked out beautifully!  They come home from school, do their homework and then start their chores with zero complaining! The only complaining I did hear was that Nicholas wants to be the ONLY one to take out trash b/c that’s HIS chore…ok son..I don’t think Ariel is going to argue with you!

It’s so nice to come home and see the house clean! And since it’s been so nice out lately, they play outside until we say so and spend less time in front of the tv! Makes me a VERY happy Jamie! 

6. We attempted spring pictures this past weekend. I’m pretty pleased with some shots but Preston just wasn’t in the mood!  We went to the State House since the flowers are always so pretty in the spring but they weren’t 100% in bloom yet. It almost started raining on us so we left after about 30 minutes. We might take them to the botanical gardens in a few weeks and try for more pictures in front of all the flowers.

  Um yeah…So that was more than a few. My bad!

Wordless Wednesday

I did it...

I created a blog for me and my weightloss journey. I've struggled my entire life but it wasn't until I got pregnant that I really gained weight. I'm the biggest I have ever been in my life and quite frankly I am miserable. My goal isn't to be "thin," only healthy!  Healthy for not only myself but my family as well! This blog is more for myself, a way that I can write down my frustrations and just get everything out but I also welcome ideas and suggestions to help me be the best I can be!

Ice Cream makes it all better!

I promise Preston isn’t mad here…he was just caught off guard!

Things started looking up for Preston today as he started his 2nd day of antibiotics. His eyes are still a little red and his nose still runny but I started to see some of his funny little personality peeking through.

Preston kept pulling on the freezer door and whining so I finally opened it to see what it was that he was after. He reached for this and I gave in…after all, the poor kid needs something to take his mind off that right eye that i’m sure feels like it’s going to explode any second now!

I let him eat it ALL by himself. This is a first because I know how he is which is messy but why not let the kid be a kid right?! He actually ate the entire thing and I watched in amazement! This made his night and mine as well!

P.S.-Yes that is a United States Constitution shirt he is wearing! Timmy, being the dork die-hard republican that he is thought it would be completely awesome to make our 1 year old a shirt and start a new trend…So far it’s only been worn in our house. And that’s how I would like to keep it!

And yes i'm a republican too...it's just the cheesy homemade t-shirts I don't too much care for.

Frustration

We put Preston in daycare for 2 days and this is what he comes out with. All last week, he had this nasty little cold and it just progressively got worse. I took him to the Dr last thurs. and he told me it was “just a cold.”  Well saturday he started running a fever and it hasn’t stopped yet. I started to see blood in his drainage and knew then that it had to be a sinus infection. We took him back yesterday and sure enough this time they decided they would get it right so they put him on an antibiotic. Bless his little heart though..yesterday was the WORST day of all. I ended up staying home with him because Timmy has class and literally from 3pm to around 9pm he just laid on the couch with me. In that picture, you can tell that the pressure is more on the right side of his face because his little eye is so swollen and he has consistently had more drainage from the right nostril. And the red on his face is where his skin is just raw from constantly rubbing his nose. Even soft Kleenex doesn’t help him at this point!

You’ll also see a little of what’s left of his 1st official black eye. That happened last week when he tripped over a pillow and knocked his eye on a laundry basket!  Then he busted his lip 2 days ago!  The kid just can’t watch where he’s going catch a break!

I hate seeing my baby this sick!  Preston is so full of life and playful that I really know it’s bad when he just wants to lay there for hours on end! I can’t wait to have my little boy back!
